Collaboration or Service Projects

Download collaboration or service application here

The Boulder Laboratory accepts collaboration and service projects on select biological questions that fit the expertise of our members. The lab welcomes applications of both collaborative and service projects. No direct financial support for collaborative and service actives is available from the Boulder Lab. Users applying to the Resource are asked to proceed as follows:

  1. Application:Once you have filled out the collaboration application you can send it to:

    Nancy Neumann
    email:
    University of Colorado
MCD Biology, 347 UCB Boulder, Colorado 80309
    phone: (303) 492-8593
    fax: (303) 735-0770

  2. Review and Selection: Your application will be reviewed within one month. Selection of projects is based primarily on scientific value and synergy with the core research and development projects.
  3. Project Operation: Once the project has been accepted it will be tracked on a weekly basis. An initial interaction between the new users and the Resource staff will take place and a plan will be developed for the project.
  4. Scheduling of Facility Resources: We will contact you with scheduling information
  5. Users of the Resource are required to acknowlege use of the Resource as follows: Some of the work presented here was conducted at the Boulder Laboratory for 3D Electron Microscopy of Cells which is supported by the National Institutes of Health through the National Center for Research Resources’ P41 program.

Visitors to the Facility

The Boulder Laboratory for 3D Electron Microscopy of Cells is supported by the National Center for Research Resources to develop technologies for specimen preparation and image analysis that will enhance the study of cell structure in three dimensions. Our laboratory is available for visitors who wish to learn such techniques. Upon receipt of a completed application, the laboratory staff will review the application to determine if a visit is warranted. Selection criteria include: suitability for tomography, scientific merit, lab visitor schedule, and availability of facility staff. The review process and timeline is similar to the above schedule for collaborative or service projects.
