Using Help command (Help menu)
SerialEM incorporates many of the standard Windows Help features, but some things do not work in the ideal fashion.
The Help Topics command will take you to the opening window of the help system, in which you can select contents, index, or search functions. Index functions will probably not work.
The Help Index command will take you to the top of the help file where there are links to all available topics.
In addition, there are several ways to activate context-sensitive help in SerialEM:
Press F1 when the mouse is over a menu entry. You will go to the specific help for that item.
Press F1 when the mouse is over a dialog box. You will go to the help for the entire dialog box. F1 will not work when pressed over a control panel.
Press the ? button in a control Panel or dialog box. You will go to the help for the whole panel or dialog box.
Press Shift F1 then click on in item in the program. You will go to help for the item or for the window that the item is in.
